What a start to 2023. Working through National disasters and a pandemic is a reality that seems unreal. The NZPT has still been meeting and working with stakeholders to support physiotherapists in New Zealand.

Next week, members of NZPT have a meeting with various ACC staff to work though issues with the pain contracts and the physiotherapy services contract. We will keep you informed of any updates and outcomes. 

We are still getting inquiries from physiotherapists about memberships for the 2023 year. Physiotherapists may join NZPT at any time, but our membership year is the calendar year and memberships are not pro-rated.

2023 should be a very interesting year for physiotherapists and NZPT. The nurses are working on pay equity and physiotherapy unions will follow. The Equal Pay Amendment Act may be the single biggest driver of physiotherapy salaries.
